It is not the usual Bright Lights event, but the City of Windsor still wants to help residents get in the Christmas spirit.
Instead of the traditional event at Jackson Park, the city is lighting up the community with a series of signature displays across the city.
All nine business improvement areas are taking part with the help of $20,000 in funding to pay for Christmas lights and displays.
City council signed off on a total of $180,000 in funding last month.
"We were saddened when COVID-19 forced us to cancel our traditional event," said Mayor Drew Dilkens. "With some creative thinking and great partnerships, we were able to come up with something new for 2020."
The city has posted a map of all the city displays on its website, including at Charles Clark Square, the Chimczuk Museum, City Hall, Mackenzie Hall, the Ouellette Overpass, and Willistead Manor. The full list is on the website.

"We eagerly anticipate returning to Jackson Park with an even bigger and better show next year," continued Dilkens.
The displays will be up until January 10.
