Four arrested in Windsor linked to B&E ring in southern Ontario

Four men from the Greater Toronto Area have been arrested and charged in connection to break and enter investigations in Windsor and LaSalle.

The individuals were first identified by members of the York Regional Police Service who reached out to the Windsor Police Service with information about the group's alleged criminal activity.

On February 9, Windsor police were called to an attempted break and enter on Dominion Boulevard. Officers learned several men tried to get into a residence but were unsuccessful and left the area.

The Property Crimes Unit linked the suspects to a home on Menard Street between Isack Drive and St. John Street on the city's east side.

That same day, the suspects were linked to multiple break and enters in the Town of LaSalle in which firearms were stolen.

The house on Menard was contained later that evening by the Emergency Services Unit and the K-9 unit of the Windsor Police Service. The four suspects were arrested without incident around 8 p.m.

Darnyl Campbell, 28, Dunmark Lindsay, 38, Paul Nkrumah, 34, and Jordan Saccucci, 31, all from the GTA are facing a number of break and enter and weapons charges in relation to the investigation. The charges have not been proven in court.

"Although the suspects were arrested quickly after the break and enters, this remained a very active investigation. As such, to protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation we did not immediately release this information or the names of the charged individuals," said a Windsor Police Service news release.

The arrests were part of Project Rise, by the York Police Service. A total of 10 individuals are facing charges as a result of the investigation involving 11 locations throughout southwestern Ontario.

According to the York Police Service, officers seized approximately $23,000 in Canadian currency as well as US$30,000, $85,000 in Bolivian currency and significant amounts of stolen property as part of the investigation. Photos of the recovered property can be found through the York Police Service website.
