The Windsor Public Library will resume normal service next week after the province enters Step Two of its Roadmap to Reopen plan.
There will be limits on how many people can be in the library at once, but the doors will open to the public on Monday, July 5.
Once branches open up, the library will suspend curbside service.
For the first time since March 2020, customers will have access to computers and photocopiers, along with other services.
"We're overjoyed to finally throw open our doors," said Library Board Chair and City Councillor Rino Bortolin.
Branches will be open for their summer hours, and customers need to adhere to social distancing guidelines and wear masks.
"Although our electronic and digital circulation hit all-time highs over the past 16 months, there is nothing quite like the feel of a book on the shelf," said CEO Kitty Pope.
She promised the library would have information about summer programming for children soon.
