Amherstburg's municipal COVID-19 vaccination policy could finally come to an end.
Town councillors could revoke it at their meeting on Monday night.
The policy, which enforced COVID-19 vaccination for municipal employees, was implemented in September 2021 during the pandemic.
A report to councillors said, "there is much evidence to support that the vaccination policy as it exists in its present state does not provide further protections beyond what is being generally recommended by public health officials."
Those public health officials suggest Canadians accept COVID-19 is a part of life and take precautions like staying home and wearing a face mask in public if they test positive for it.
A tool allowing town employees to self-screen for the virus will remain in place.
Windsor rescinded its COVID-19 vaccination policy last November.
