Downtown collision sends one to hospital

Windsor police are investigating a two-vehicle collision in downtown Windsor early Thursday morning that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

Just before 2 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Wyandotte Street West and Crawford Avenue.

The investigation revealed a vehicle travelling westbound on Wyandotte Street West collided with a southbound one on Crawford Avenue.

The Windsor Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.

Wyandotte Street West was closed between Oak Street and Crawford Avenue throughout the morning. It has since reopened. As of 1:30 p.m., Crawford Avenue is still closed between Elliot Street and University Avenue.
