A revue celebrating an iconic film and a comedian have been added to the slate of performers at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor.
Dirty Dancing in Concert will take the Colosseum stage on October 13. Then, on October 19, actor and comedian Nick Offerman will perform a stand-up set.
The 1987 movie will be screened in its digitally-remastered form, and a five-piece band with vocalists will perform the songs live on stage, in sync with the film.
The film is set in the Catskills of New York State in the summer of 1963 when Baby Houseman and her family vacation at a resort. After meeting dance instructor Johnny Castle, Baby learns about the different lifestyles of the resort staff while learning to dance and falling in love.
The movie was a surprise hit, grossing $213-million worldwide. The song "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" was a number-one hit and won the Academy Award for Best Song.
Offerman is best known for his work on the mockumentary sitcom "Parks and Recreation", which ran on NBC from 2009 to 2015. He has also appeared on the series "Fargo", "Devs", and "Pam and Tommy" for FX.
The comedian has also written five books, which have been New York Times bestsellers. He narrates the audiobook for Wendell Berry's "The Need to Be Whole" and is a voice actor for Fox's animated series "The Great North".
Tickets for both shows are now on sale for Caesars Rewards members and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets can be bought online at Ticketmaster or the official Caesars Windsor website. The box office is open from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, plus from noon to 10 p.m. on show days.
