Four days after it reached a tentative deal with its high school teachers, the Greater Essex County District School Board says it has another agreement with the occasional teachers in local secondary schools.
The public school board reached the tentative agreement yesterday afternoon with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation District 9.
"This agreement, once ratified, will provide certainty and stability for this bargaining unit and the board," said a release from GECDSB. "The tentative agreement is for a four-year term."
The deal expires on August 31, 2026.
Like its agreement with full-time teachers, the union and the board must ratify the deal no later than March 28. Details of the agreement will remain confidential until then.
