The Windsor Essex County Health Unit says the number of K-8 students suspended from school due to incomplete vaccination records continues to dwindle.
As of Wednesday morning, the health unit reported 257 elementary school students still on suspension for up to 20 days because their immunization records weren't up to date.
That number is down from the 377 students suspended as of Tuesday afternoon.
The health unit has continued to state that it is ready to help students and parents update their records and allow them to return to class.
"Services available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at our offices, include immunization counselling and support, updating immunization records, and administration of missing vaccines," read a release from the health unit.
Records can be updated online at the health unit's official website. Residents can also take advantage of free walk-in clinics at the health unit's Windsor and Leamington offices.
If your child's vaccinations are up to date but not their records, call your primary care provider or the health unit.
Last fall, health officials reviewed the records of more than 45,000 elementary school students.
