Terri Clark, the famed country music superstar, will help Leamington kick off its 150th anniversary celebrations on Canada Day.
Her concert at the SUNSET Amphitheatre in Seacliff Park will also kick start this year's Music ONthe42 Summer Concert Series.
"The evening promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music and community spirit," said a release from the Municipality of Leamington. "This free, un-ticketed concert will start at 6:30 p.m. with a captivating performance by the talented Michelle Wright. The spotlight then shifts to Terri Clark, who will take the stage at 8:30 p.m."
The municipality says fireworks will cap the evening off starting at 10 p.m.
"We are absolutely thrilled that yet another country legend will grace the SUNSET Amphitheatre stage in Leamington," said Chair of the Leamington 150 Anniversary Committee, John Moran. "Terri Clark has been on our radar for some time, and we know country music fans will be over the moon about this concert."
Clark began her career playing for tips at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge in Nashville. She holds the honour of being the only Canadian female member of the Grand Ole Opry. Since her humble start, she has sold over 5 million albums. Clark was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2018 and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame last year.
