Now that the highly anticipated solar eclipse is over, many are left wondering what to do with the leftover eclipse glasses.
A non-profit organization, Astronomers Without Borders, is accepting the leftover glasses to send to those in other parts of the world to safely watch an eclipse in their area, who otherwise couldn't.
According to its website, glasses have been donated since 2008, going to areas like Africa, Asia, and North and South America.
More information on Astronomers Without Borders can be found here.
In Midwestern Ontario, the St. Mary's Public Library is collecting eclipse glasses until April 19 for donation.
In Chatham-Kent, you can drop off your used solar eclipse glasses at any library branch to be donated. The deadline is May 1.
