A Windsor police officer is charged with sexual assault after an investigation by the province's police watchdog.
The Special Investigations Unit started an investigation in January after the Windsor Police Service notified it of the alleged offences.
"The SIU investigation found sufficient evidence to proceed with sexual assault charges against the officer in relation to incidents involving a woman between 2011 and 2015," stated a news release from the agency.
Staff Sergeant Ken Price faces four counts of sexual assault. He will appear in court in July.
The SIU is an independent government agency responsible for investigating incidents involving police officers throughout the province.
