Home sales continue to decline

The number of homes sold in Windsor-Essex dropped again last month.

The latest report from the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors shows there was a 17.39 per cent drop in residential sales in June compared to June of 2023. Local realtors sold 456 properties last month compared to 552 in the same month last year.

Overall, home sales are down 4.17 per cent this year compared to the same time period in 2023. Home sales have dipped for four months in a row.

In June, the average home sold for $582,087, down 1.74 per cent.

There were 4.11 per cent more homes on the market last month.
