CK police officer charged with assault

A 14-year member of the Chatham-Kent Police Service has been arrested and charged.

Constable Fraser Curtis has been charged with uttering threats and assault in relation to an on-duty incident that happened on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 in Chatham.

According to police, when they learned of the incident they brought in the Windsor Police Service to conduct an independent investigation.

The constable was released with conditions and a future court date of August 20.

There were no injuries sustained because of the incident and Curtis has been placed on administrative duties.
