Family Services Windsor-Essex is expanding its mental wellness workshops thanks to a donation from Caesars Windsor Cares.
The $25,000 will allow Family Services to offer free workshops three times a week. The group workshops promote personal awareness and growth.
"Each session that we deliver is part of a four-part series and it helps people develop stronger coping skills. Ultimately what we want people to do is improve their ability to be resilient " said Ciara Holmes, Director of Mental Health and Counselling Programs at Family Services.
Each module is facilitated by a qualified counsellor who uses evidence-based techniques to promote personal awareness and growth.
"It is our honour to partner with Family Service Windsor-Essex to meet our community's growing need for mental health supports," said Susanne Tomkins, Manager of Public Relations and Communications at Caesars Windsor. "Windsor-Essex is where we call home and we are proud of our strong legacy of volunteering and investing, right here in our community."
The workshop schedule can be found on Family Services Windsor-Essex's website. Anyone interested can pre-register or attend the workshops at the Langlois office.
