Ontario's law-enforcement watchdog agency would like to speak to any occupants of a vehicle seen near a police shooting in Windsor two weeks ago.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is looking into the September 6 shooting, which took place on Goyeau Street and Elliott Street East. A man was shot by police at the location and later died in hospital.
While looking at surveillance camera footage of the events leading up to the incident, the SIU noticed a grey sedan that was parked in the lot of the supermarket.
Investigators believe that anyone who may have been in the grey Ford Fusion may have witnessed what happened.
If you recognize the vehicle or have any information on the incident, call the SIU at 1-800-787-8529, or submit your tip online.
The SIU invokes its mandate when a law enforcement officer is involved in any incident that results in death, serious injury, sexual assault, and/or the discharge of a firearm at a person.
