UPDATE: Police investigate shooting, arson in east Windsor

Windsor Police continue investigating an incident at a home on Monticello Avenue in the Little River neighbourhood.

An unnamed source with the Windsor Police Service confirmed the WindsorNewsToday.ca on Thursday morning that multiple gunshots were fired at the home.

Investigators also learned that a white cube van was seen leaving the area. A short time later, the van was found to have fire damage.

No one was hurt, and police say there is no threat to public safety.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the area of both incidents to check their security cameras for any unusual activity on Thursday morning.

Anyone with information or footage to share should call the Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (519) 258-TIPS (8477).
