Downtown Farmers Market to get spooky on Saturday

The Downtown Farmers Market closes out its season with a howl on Saturday.

Kids of all ages are invited to Pelissier Street in downtown Windsor for the traditional Halloween-themed finale of the regular market season.

The farmers' market runs between University Avenue East and Wyandotte Street East from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"We’re wrapping up our October markets with a bang," said market manager Steve Green. "Our vendors are excited to participate and bring some Halloween magic to the market. It’s a great way to end the season and celebrate with the community."

Young people are invited to come in costume and trick-or-treat with the market vendors, who are also encouraged to come dressed up and decorate their stalls.

Live music will also be provided with Clinton Anderson at 10:15 a.m., followed by Paul Beresford at 11:30 a.m.

The farmers' market is overseen by the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA).

The DWBIA will bring a holiday-themed market to the area closer to the holiday season, with details to follow.
