A man facing an attempted murder charge is in more trouble for allegedly violating bail conditions.
Windsor police said the 26-year-old man is one of two people charged in connection with a shooting that took place on Pierre Avenue in the summer of 2023.
The man was granted bail in April and placed under a series of strict conditions, including electronic monitoring and house arrest at a home in Petawawa.
On Wednesday, bail compliance officers with the Offender Management Unit and officers with the OPP's Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad (ROPE, found and arrested the man at a house on Sandwich Street near Chappell Avenue.
He now faces two counts of failure to comply with a release order. His 48-year-old father, who was acting as his surety, is charged with facilitating a failure to comply with a release order.
The additional charges have yet to be proven in court.
The Offender Management Unit is a partnership between the Windsor police and LaSalle police that supervises high-risk people under house arrest, electronic monitoring, or curfew requirements.
