When the Town of LaSalle launches its annual Holiday Lights Heritage Nights on Friday, November 22, the LaSalle Civic Centre will be transformed into a magical outdoor walk-through holiday wonderland.
Mayor Crystal Meloche and town councillors will countdown to the lighting of a 40' walk-through Christmas tree at 6 p.m., but the public is invited to gather at 5 p.m. to get a snack from one of the food trucks on-site, visit with Santa Claus, and get their faces painted.
The lights will be turned on daily from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. until January 5.
"LaSalle Holiday Lights Heritage Nights has become a cherished tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the magic and warmth of the season," said Director of Culture and Recreation Patti Funaro. "During the weekend programming, the area transforms into a festive wonderland with characters, food, and fun activities."
Weekend activities are planned between November 22 and December 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and sensory hours are offered Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The lights will be on, but the music will be turned off.
The Holiday Night Market Sundays return on November 24, December 1, December 8, and December 15.
Dogs are welcome at the LaSalle Civic Centre, although they must be on a leash or harness and under the owner's control.
