Innovative MSE program coming to University of Windsor next fall

The University of Windsor will offer a cutting-edge engineering program starting with the fall 2025 semester.

The school will begin offering an undergraduate program in Mechatronic Systems Engineering (MSE). It plans to offer students a convergence program consisting of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering.

"Mechatronic systems are shaping the future, integrating across sectors from healthcare to automotive,” said Bill Van Heyst, U of W's Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. "With this program, we’re responding to the growing demand for engineers who understand these converging technologies and can lead in automation and intelligent systems."

The MSE program will include specializations in two high-demand fields, autonomous vehicles and intelligent manufacturing.

Graduates who go through the program will have access to career pathways in automation, controls, electro-mechanical systems, robotics, automotive and aerospace, and manufacturing.

Complete information on the MSE program, and on how to apply, can be found on the University of Windsor's official website.
