Windsor police have arrested three people, and are seeking a fourth, in a major shoplifting probe.
Investigators say that at least five big-box stores were hit by the same group of people, between August 25, 2024, and January 27. The total value of merchandise stolen was $3,377.84.
Officers with the Target Base Unit have identified all four suspects involved.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on February 5, on Tecumseh Road West and Church Avenue.
The following day, February 6, the Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Unit arrested a 35-year-old woman on Walker Road near Provincial Road.
Later that evening, police picked up a 32-year-old in the area of Drouillard Road and Reginald Street.
All three are charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, and committing an indictable offence for a criminal organization. The 32-year-old has also been charged with two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Police are still looking for 36-year-old Kory Raymond. He's wanted for three counts of theft under $5,000, committing an indictable offence for a criminal organization, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.
Raymond is described as a White male, approximately 5’ 9”, with a medium build, brown hair, and green eyes.
