The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys has unveiled the induction class for 2025.
The class is headlined by former Blue Jays star slugger Jose Bautista. He will be joined alongside Canadian MLB pitcher Erik Bedard from Navan, Ontario.
Also going in this year are Canadian Junior National Team head coach Greg Hamilton of Toronto, as well as longtime Women’s National Team star Amanda Asay from Prince George, B.C., who will be inducted posthumously.
Also, the Hall of Fame’s Veterans Committee has elected former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League legend Arleene Noga of Ogema, Saskatchewan, and Gerry Snyder, the Montreal city councillor who played a crucial role in bringing Major League Baseball to Canada. Noga and Snyder will be inducted posthumously.
The induction ceremony will take place at the Hall of Fame grounds in St. Marys on June 7.
"We are proud and excited to celebrate the outstanding careers of this year’s inductees in St. Marys this June," said Jeremy Diamond, chair of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame’s board of directors. "Each of them, in their own distinct way, has had a tremendous impact on the game of baseball in our country."
