Candidates set in Windsor-Essex for provincial vote

The ballots for the February 27 provincial election are now in place in three ridings that cover most of Windsor-Essex.

Candidates vying for three seats had until 2 p.m. Thursday to file their intentions with Elections Ontario.

In Windsor West, incumbent Lisa Gretzky is running for the Ontario NDP.

Gretzky is being challenged by Tony Francis of the PC Party, Nick Kolasky of the Green Party, Joshua Griffin of the New Blue Party, Matthew Giancola of the Ontario Party, and Mark Dewdney of the None of the Above Direct Democracy Party.

In the Windsor-Tecumseh riding, Andrew Dowie of the PC Party is seeking a second term.

Challenging him in the second straight election is Gemma Grey-Hall of the NDP.

Also running are Connor Logan of the Ontario Liberals, Roxanne Tellier of the Green Party, Sophia Sevo of the New Blue Party, Steven Gifford of the Ontario Party, and Kyle Ford of the Communist Party of Canada-Ontario.

In the riding of Essex, Anthony Leardi of the PC Party is also seeking a second term.

Also in the running are Tamara Stomp for the Liberals, Rachael Mills for the NDP, Stephen Higgins of the Green Party, Brigitte Belton of the New Blue Party, Travis Jacques of the Ontario Party, Kevin Linfield of the None of the Above Direct Democracy Party, and independent William Szabo Verzoc.
