As almost 70,000 waste collection calendars make their way to Windsor homes, you might notice some significant changes this year.
Garbage collection is shifting to a Tuesday-to-Friday schedule as of April 1st.
If your garbage day was on Monday, it'll now be Tuesday.
Also on April 1, the City of Windsor will no longer collect garbage or yard waste in residential alleys.
If your garbage was picked up in the alleyway, you'll need to put it out at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on your designated collection day.
About 120 homes that are not impacted by that change will receive a letter from the city soon if they haven't already, informing residents their waste pickup location hasn't changed.
It'll take about four weeks for the new collection calendar to arrive at all Windsor homes, but if you haven't received it by March 30 call 311.
You can also find the schedule on the Recycle Coach App, on the municipal website, or through MappMyCity's garbage collection app starting on April 1.
