Windsor-Essex home sales down in April

Despite more new listings in Windsor-Essex, home sales fell again in April.

That's according to the latest sales figures from the Windsor-Essex County Association of Realtors (WECAR), which said sales in April dropped by 15.27 per cent, compared to April 2024.

Realtors closed 416 deals on homes for sale in April, compared to 491 in the same month last year.

In 2025 so far, sales are down by 12.45 per cent, compared to the first four months of 2024.

Although the pace has slowed since March, new home listings went up in April by 9.46 per cent, to 1,203 listings.

The average price of a home for sale in the region declined slightly year-to-year, by 0.29 per cent to $579,910.
