City expands free rec programming to nine parks

The City of Windsor is expanding its SUPIE program to nine more parks in the community.

The supervised recreation program has been offered at Mitchell Park since 2023. It offers sports, recreation, arts and crafts programming with city recreation staff for free at the park from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The program has been expanded to the following parks on the following dates.

July 13 to July 29, 2025:

Mic Mac Park

Lanspeary Park

Fontainebleau Park

July 30 to August 16, 2025:

Walker Homesite Park

Robert McDonald Park

Riverside Baseball Park

August 17 to September 6, 2025:

Central Park

Remington Booster Park

Forest Glade Park

Mitchell Park's program runs every day until August 30, 2025.

The goal of the program is to offer barrier-free access to recreation services by bringing City programming and activities directly into an underrepresented area of the community.
