September Ontario Works cheques available at Windsor City Hall

Over the past three months, the City of Windsor has implemented its contingency plan to ensure Ontario Works clients get their income support cheques and reloadable payment cards during the labour dispute at Canada Post.

If you receive benefits by cheque or require a new reloadable payment card for September, you can pick them up at 400 City Hall Square on Friday or next Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

In the county, they can be picked up at 33 Princess Street in Leamington between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Recipients must bring two pieces of government-issued identification, and one must have a photo.

All recipients must pick up cheques or payment cards in person.

Before heading out to the distribution centre, recipients are encouraged to call 1-800-808-2268 to confirm that their cheque has been printed and is ready for pickup.

Cheques for vendors and landlords who support Ontario Works will be mailed to them.
