Windsor Police remind residents not to let strangers into their homes after a suspicious incident last Friday in the city's west end.
A couple arrived at a home on Rankin Avenue to inquire about renting the property. The trouble is, the property isn't listed as available for rent.
The elderly homeowner let them inside for a cup of coffee, but a neighbour startled the couple when they arrived. The man and woman left in a hurry.
Police don't believe anything was stolen, but they are looking for the couple.
The woman is described as white, with a heavier build, green eyes, and blonde hair. The man was also white with a heavier build.
They fled in a blue Ford Edge with no license plate on the front of the vehicle.
Police want to hear from anyone with information about the incident or who has had a similar experience. The Property Crimes Unit can be reached at 519-255-6700 ext. 4350, Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477, or go to www.catchcrooks.com.
