Organizers of the Ronald's House of Champions Hockey Tournament are very proud to announce they raised $101,000 for the Ronald McDonald House in Windsor.
Matt Tatomir, a local McDonald's Canada franchisee, and his Kingsville General Manager, Ashley Incitti, organized the tournament from September 5 to September 7.
They say the third annual tournament raised the largest total yet.
Fifty-three teams and over 2,500 people came out to support the event at community centres in Essex and Amherstburg.
"It was great to see the hockey community come together, with teams from across Southwestern Ontario," said Tatomir. "There is no greater feeling than witnessing many players and families in one place, having fun, and actively giving back. Hockey teams were supporting families with sick or injured children living far from hospital care."
He said he looks forward to the 2026 edition of the tournament.
Organizers also raffled off tickets to Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, and Michigan Wolverines games.
