When you're a race fan, it's never too early to start planning for the next Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix.
The annual race has confirmed it'll be back on May 31, 2026, with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.
Next year’s three-day event is scheduled for May 29 to May 31, 2026.
INDYCAR revealed its 2026 season schedule earlier this week, including the date for the race at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.
The event will mark the 36th Grand Prix weekend in Detroit's history.
"With the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, as well as the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, both returning to the downtown Detroit street circuit, it's going to be another memorable weekend on track for fans," said President of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, Michael Montri.
Once again, the three-day event will feature racing, music, and family fun in downtown Detroit, the fourth consecutive year the race returns to its roots on the city’s streets.
This year's event attracted 156,000 people over three days, a four per cent increase from 2023 and last year.
Ticket renewals for next year's race are expected to open in the fall, though an exact date will be announced later. Fans can also sign up for an early 2026 ticket purchase at www.DetroitGP.com.
