Ford Windsor Operations and partners raise over $482K for United Way

Ford Windsor Operations, Unifor Locals 200 and 240, Leadec Industrial Services, and Penske Logistics have announced a $482,274 donation to United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County.

The fundraising total was unveiled today during a Family Open House event at Ford’s Windsor Engine Plant.

“We are honored to have partnered with United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County for so many decades,” said Neil Wilson, Ford Windsor Operations Site Manager. “We know this organization will once again bring our donations to life by helping thousands of area residents of all ages. I am proud to represent a Ford Windsor team whose generosity is second to none.”

The donation is part of the team’s annual fundraising campaign to support children and youth across the region.

“United Way is all about taking care of our communities and is near and dear to our heart,” said John D’Agnolo, President of Unifor Local 200.

The funds, raised through employee donations, 50/50 draws, Ford merchandise sales, special events, and corporate giving, will go directly toward United Way’s mission to end childhood poverty and support local families in need.

“We are deeply grateful for Ford’s continued support and longstanding partnership,” said Lorraine Goddard, CEO of United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent. “Ford’s steadfast generosity enables us to continue supporting children and families in need and building a more prosperous community for all. Together, we are creating lasting change for those who need it most because every child deserves a bright and hopeful future.”

To date, Ford Windsor Operations has contributed more than $54 million to United Way.
