Contract negotiations between the John McGivney Children's Centre and OPSEU Local 170 are at a standstill.
Families who utilize the centre's services could experience disruptions as of 12:01 a.m. on November 13 if an agreement is not reached.
The organization said it presented the union its "best offer" which included wage enhancements and other increases.
"We continue to be transparent that without increases to our Ministry base funding, we are unable to meet the monetary demands being made by the Union," said a statement by JMCC.
A statement from the union said it would like to move forward with mediation.
"The Union has asked the Employer to return to the table however the Employer has declined and refused mediation jeopardizing ongoing services for the most vulnerable children in our community," read a statement from OPSEU Local 170.
"To the extent that the Union wishes to discuss the offer that was last presented and work within that monetary framework, we remain willing to meet and conclude an agreement. However, in the absence of this, we do not believe mediation will resolve the outstanding issues," said the JMCC statement.
The JMCC said it will keep families informed in the event of a labour disruption and respond to any urgent situations where a child's safety or well-being may be at risk.
