Caesars Windsor searching for a new President

Caesars Windsor has begun the search for a new president after Kevin Laforet announced his retirement in early 2026.

Laforet has been a leader in the local tourism industry for more than three decades and was first hired as an executive at the casino in 1994. He was appointed president in 2003.

During that time, he's been involved in opening the interim casino in Windsor in 1994, the Northern Belle Riverboat Casino in 1995, the permanent Windsor casino in 1998, and the casino's expansion and rebranding to Caesars Windsor in 2008.

"Throughout Kevin's time with us, both guests and Team Members have come to know him for his warm, approachable nature and steady leadership," said Chief Operating Officer of Caesars Entertainment, Anthony Carano. "He will be deeply missed."

Laforet has won numerous awards for his stewardship of the casino in Windsor, including the Gaming Professional of the Year, a key from the City of Windsor, and the Industry Leadership and Outstanding Contribution Award from the Canadian Gaming Association.

"As president, Kevin has demonstrated great skill, aptitude, and dedication to his many demanding roles and unrelenting responsibilities, including being an ambassador for Windsor-Essex," said Mayor Drew Dilkens.

He has also served as a board member and past chair of the Canadian Gaming Association. Additionally, he has been active on the boards of the University of Windsor, Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation, Windsor Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way/Centraide of Windsor-Essex.

Caesars Windsor welcomes 3.5 million guests annually, of which 1.5 million came from outside the region.
