Windsor police are taking a closer look at the robberies of two pizza delivery drivers last week.
The robberies occurred within a four-hour window late Thursday night and early Friday morning.
The first was reported to police at about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. Patrol officers responded to a vehicle being driven erratically. It was found abandoned on College Avenue near Brock Street.
It turned out the vehicle had been stolen from a pizza delivery driver on St. Joseph Street and Baby Street earlier in the evening. When the driver got out to deliver the food, someone jumped into the open vehicle and took off.
Another suspect, who flagged the driver down for the delivery, ran away.
The second occurred at about 3:30 a.m. on Friday on Millen Street near Brock Street, when the same thing happened to another pizza delivery driver.
This time, there were two suspects in the vehicle and a third flagging the driver down. The vehicle was found abandoned and damaged on Prince Road near Wells Street. It had been driven into a fence and a light-pole support wire.
No one was hurt in either incident.
Police are asking residents in both areas to check any surveillance or dashcam footage from that time period. Residents are also reminded to close and lock their vehicles when leaving them, even if it's just for a minute or two.
