Public board says payroll glitch corrected

Some employees at the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) experienced delays in getting their paycheques on Friday.

A payroll glitch resulted in some board employees not having their paycheques direct-deposited into their bank accounts as expected.

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) District 9 reported that it began receiving complaints from members early Friday morning.

Board spokesperson Madeline McEachern told WindsorNewsToday.ca that payroll and IT personnel worked to correct the issue, and it has been resolved.

McEachern said everyone should have their pay deposited in their accounts by early Friday evening, and anyone still having issues should contact their bank or credit union.

WindsorNewsToday.ca has reached out to the OSSTF for additional information, but has not yet received a response.
