A Tilbury man who was to be sentenced this month won't be until the new year.
David Trealout, 35, pleaded guilty in September to killing 55-year-old Henry Neudorf and was to be sentenced on second-degree murder charges on December 16. However, the court in Chatham heard on Monday that another case took precedence on December 16.
Trealout was initially charged with first-degree murder, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second-degree murder in Chatham Superior Court on September 12, 2025.
Trealout will return to Chatham court on January 19, 2026, to schedule another sentencing hearing.
Neudorf's body was discovered at the side of Townline Road, north of Maple Line in Dover Township on January 12, 2024.
A publication ban prevents more information, including evidence, from being made public since his mother, Kimberly Price, who is a co-accused, is still waiting for her trial.
Price was released on bail in November and is now under house arrest and living with her surety, her cousin, in Northern Ontario.
Price's Superior Court trial will begin on November 9, 2026, and is expected to last three weeks.
