A program at Art Windsor-Essex (AWE) designed to enrich local seniors' love of art has received a boost.
Caesars Cares, the community service arm of Caesars Windsor, presented on Friday a cheque for $10,000 to AWE's Seniors Council.
The council participates in creative activities that support intergenerational learning and skill building, as well as reducing social isolation.
"We are deeply grateful to Caesars Windsor Cares for their ongoing commitment to the Seniors Art Council," said AWE Executive Director Jennifer Matotek. "Their continued support empowers us to offer meaningful creative opportunities that enrich the lives of seniors throughout Windsor-Essex. By helping us foster inclusion, inspire learning, and promote well-being, Caesars Windsor Cares makes a lasting and positive impact on our community."
Mary Riley, Caesars Windsor Vice-President of Marketing and Resort Operations, calls the seniors' program a game-changer.
"Social integration is an important part of our happiness and health," said Riley. "We are proud to support Art Windsor-Essex with this donation to provide seniors with activities to learn new skills and access a fantastic arts experience."
