The Windsor Police Service has tapped a 32-year veteran to be its new Deputy Chief of Operations.
The police services board announced this morning that Kenneth Cribley will assume the role. He's served as the Acting Deputy Chief of Operations for the past six months.
"Following an extensive search, we are pleased to welcome our new Deputy Chief of Police - Operations," said Mayor Drew Dilkens. "Deputy Chief Cribley's career has been defined by his integrity, a deep passion for policing, his respect for the men and women of the Windsor Police Service, and his unwavering commitment and pride in service to the community."
Cribley has served in the past as an inspector in the Investigations Branch, a staff sergeant in the major crimes unit, and as a detective in the major crimes unit.
He's completed qualifications in police leadership, business analytics, and operational/administrative/project management. He's also served on numerous boards and committees.
"From the day I first put on a Windsor Police Service uniform, I felt an enormous sense of pride, and that feeling remains as strong today as ever," said Cribley. "I am deeply honoured by the trust and confidence the Windsor Police Services Board has placed in me."
