Environment Canada has put a yellow heat warning in effect for areas in Southwestern Ontario.
The heat is expected to begin on Monday, with temperatures rising throughout the week and possibly lasting into the weekend.
According to Environment Canada, the area could see a high of 36 degrees, with a humidex up to 44.
The alert reminds people to watch for early signs of heat exhaustion, drink water often, close blinds or shades, and limit direct exposure to the sun.
The alert is in effect for Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, Windsor-Essex, and Southern Huron County.
