Driver charged following traffic complaint on Pelee Island

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say a 43-year-old man has been charged following a traffic complaint on Pelee Island.

Officers were called at around 8 p.m. on Sunday to the ferry docks in Leamington.

The driver, from Kingsville, has been charged with impaired driving and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.

His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his licence was suspended for 90 days.

The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect will be able to respond to them in a Windsor court on August 14.
