Looking for a way to beat the heat on the weekend, or any day when the hot weather hits, the City of Windsor is reminding residents there are places they can go to cool off.
Splash pads across the city are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Windsor Public Library branches and City Customer Care Centres can also provide a haven from the heat.
For those experiencing homelessness, the Homelessness and Housing Help Hub on Wyandotte Street East is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.
The Windsor Essex County Health Unit issued an extended heat warning last Friday.
