One person is dead after a fire at a home in Amherstburg.
The Amherstburg Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire on Texas Road near Stone Street at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 3.
During a search of the residence, fire crews found and removed one man from the building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation.
No estimates of property damage or additional details are available at this time.
