Windsor starts accepting applications for firefighters

The City of Windsor will start accepting online applications for firefighters on Monday morning.

The minimum requirements are that the applicant be at least 18, be legally eligible to work in Canada, have a high school diploma or the equivalent, and be able to provide proof they have a current D drivers license. They also need to have a valid and current Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Certificate.

The city only accepts applications online. Those can be submitted at Windsor's Firefighter Recruitment webpage. Those who don't have access to a computer at home can visit a Windsor Public Library branch, or visit the Human Resources Department at 400 City Hall Square, Suite 408.

Applications must be filed no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 21.
