It was another busy weekend for patrol officers with the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The OPP had previously reported two arrests this weekend for alleged impaired driving. It has now added three more arrests.
The first one was on the Fourth of July, shortly after 10 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted on Talbot Street West near Erie Street South in Leamington.
A 51-year-old Windsor man was arrested for impaired driving.
The second incident was shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, with a traffic stop on Road 3 East in Kingsville.
A 31-year-old Kingsville resident is charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving, and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.
Finally, the OPP responded to a disturbance call at around noon on Monday at a motel on Erie Street North in Leamington. The suspect left the motel before police arrived but was found sitting in his vehicle nearby.
A 47-year-old Leamington man is charged with impaired driving and driving with excessive blood-alcohol concentration.
The charges have not been proven in court.
All three drivers have had their licences suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
Each driver will have a chance to respond to their charges in a Windsor court next month.
