Two people were arrested in Leamington on Wednesday for robbery and uttering threats.
The Ontario Provincial Police report officers executed a search warrant at a home on Plumbrook Drive around 10 a.m. The Essex County Community Street Crime Unit , Essex County Major Crime Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement, the OPP Offender Management and Apprehension Program, and the Canine Unit Vinny and his handler were all on hand to assist with the search warrant.
A 27-year-old from Cottam and a 30-year-old from Leamington were charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Both were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor.
