Windsor police charged a 22-year-old man after a road rage incident in Amherstburg on Thursday.
Police were called to the area of Sandwich Street South and Lowes Side Road around 8 a.m.
According to police, the incident began after an exchange of hand gestures between two drivers. After the disagreement, the suspect conducted an abrupt U-turn, approached the victim's vehicle, and damaged the driver's side mirror.
Police report the victim then got out of his vehicle and the suspect allegedly punched him several times before taking off.
The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.
Just before 10 a.m. the suspect turned himself in at the Amherstburg detachment of the Windsor Police Service.
The 22-year-old was charged with assault, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and mischief to property.
