Windsor police say that a 60-year-old woman suspected of human trafficking allegedly violated bail conditions.
The woman was released on bail in June 2023 after being charged with human trafficking, advertising another person's sexual services, receiving a financial or material benefit from human trafficking, and receiving a material benefit from sexual services.
Under the terms, she was not allowed to use her home to operate as a lodging house or associate with anyone suspected to be in the sex trade.
An investigation by the Human Trafficking Unit discovered that the woman had violated those conditions after investigators spotted an online ad for sexual services that directed potential clients to a Felix Avenue address that did not exist. The ads were later found to be connected to an address on Linwood Place near Felix.
The woman was re-arrested at around noon on Monday near Riverside Drive West and Huron Church Road.
She is charged with one count of advertising another person's sexual services and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
The charges have not been proven in court.
