Arrest made in sexual assault of teen boy

Windsor Police have arrested a 47-year-old man after a teen was sexually assaulted, and they think there's more victims in the community.

The Windsor Police Service Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit started its investigation last July when they got a report a 16-year-old boy was sexually assaulted.

The teen met the man at a fitness club on Enterprise Way in the summer of 2025. The man invited the teen to his home and gave him alcohol. Once the teen was intoxicated, he was sexually assaulted.

The victim later told his parents, who called the police.

Police arrested Jomar Paringit Velasquez on August 21 when he turned himself in at police headquarters. He is charged with sexual assault.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The suspect is also known as "Tito."

Any additional victims are encouraged to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 519-255-6700 ext. 4903. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 or online at www.catchcrooks.com.

All reports are handled with sensitivity and confidentiality.
