Assault suspect re-arrested for bail violations

Windsor police say a man facing numerous assault charges is in trouble again, this time for alleged violation of bail.

Investigators say that the 47-year-old man was first granted bail on September 3, on charges that included assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, choking, uttering death threats, mischief, breach of probation, and failure to comply with a release order.

Bail conditions included house arrest and electronic monitoring.

On Friday, officers from the OPP-led Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad arrested the man on Howard Avenue near Cabana Road East.

He is charged with 12 counts of failure to comply with a release order.

These charges, along with the assault charges, have not been proven in court.
