Leamington OPP Station.(BlackburnNews.com file photo)Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recommended alternate routes after a chemical spill in Leamington on Monday afternoon.
The intersection of Highway 77 and Mersea Road 7 was shut down completely as of 4 p.m. Emergency crews have responded, though there is no word on what the spill is.
Highway 77 is also closed between Mersea Road 6 and Mersea Road 8, and Mersea Road 7 is closed between Albuna Townline and Mersea Road 12.
Alternate routes are strongly recommended.
